The Anna Cann Memorial Dance Competition honours Catherine Toth though the Catherine Toth Memorial Blue Bonnets.
Catherine was a passionate Highland dancer who embraced life and was always seeking adventure no matter how she felt. Catherine’s optimism was never short of incredible as she met every challenge head held high, and with a beautiful smile on her face. Her attitude in the face of her diagnosis of Cystic Fibrosis was an inspiration to all who knew her. Catherine’s optimism and courage were never short of incredible. She had a passion for all she met and all she did. She graduated from York University with a degree in Fine Arts and was a multifaceted Artist, Costume Designer, and an accredited Highland Dance Teacher.

Catherine continued to dance despite her diagnosis, and she was encouraged by her doctors to do so as a way to help with her lung function. Catherine passed at the age of 26 from complications of Cystic Fibrosis.
Catherine’s spirt lives in all our hearts.
